Terms & conditions

These terms apply when you buy from getfurfix.com. FurFix® is a trading name of Enkay Academy Ltd. Please read them before ordering — by placing an order you accept them.

1. About us

Enkay Academy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 15748245, VAT no. 468 7268 37), registered office TBC. You can reach us at hello@getfurfix.com.

2. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you a despatch confirmation, not when you place the order or when payment is taken. If we can’t fulfil an order — stock, pricing error, or a delivery address we can’t ship to — we will tell you and refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is charged in addition and shown before you pay; see the shipping page. We take payment when you place the order. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price, we’re not obliged to supply it at that price and will contact you before doing anything.

4. Delivery

Delivery timings are estimates, not guarantees, and risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave. Full options and timings are on the shipping page.

5. Returns and cancellation

You may cancel within fourteen days of receiving your order under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and we offer thirty days for unopened products on top of that. Opened grooming products can’t be returned for a change of mind for hygiene reasons, but always can be if something is wrong with them. 6. Using our products

Our products are for external use on dogs, by adults, following the instructions on the label. Patch-test a new product before full use, keep it out of eyes and ears, and stop using it if your dog reacts. Nothing we sell is a veterinary medicine or a treatment for a diagnosed condition.

7. The Coat Code® quiz

The quiz produces general grooming guidance based on the answers you give. It is not veterinary advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it does not replace a vet or a professional groomer. Where the quiz identifies something that should be looked at professionally it will tell you so. You are responsible for your dog’s welfare and for deciding whether any recommendation suits your dog.

We’ve designed Coat Code® to make personalised coat care as simple and user-friendly as possible for dog lovers. If you have concerns about your dog’s coat, skin, comfort or general health, seek appropriate professional advice from a dog groomer or veterinary surgeon.

FurFix Coat Code® is designed to provide personalised guidance for maintaining your dog’s coat at home and between professional grooming appointments. It is not a veterinary diagnostic service and does not diagnose, treat or claim to resolve medical conditions.

Always read the full product description, ingredients, directions, age guidance and warnings before using any FurFix product or grooming tool. Follow the individual product instructions rather than relying solely on the Coat Code® routine.

Stop using any product, brush, tool or grooming technique immediately if your dog shows pain, irritation, distress or any other discomfort. Seek advice from a professional dog groomer or veterinary surgeon where appropriate.

Do not use grooming products or tools on open wounds, broken or significantly inflamed skin unless your veterinary surgeon has advised that it is appropriate.

Coat Code® recommendations are based on the information you provide. Dogs are individuals, and their coat, skin, health and grooming requirements can change over time. If you are concerned about your dog’s coat, skin, comfort or general health, seek appropriate professional advice.

8. Intellectual property

FurFix® and Coat Code® are trade marks of Enkay Academy Ltd. The content of this site — text, images, the quiz and its scoring — is ours and may not be copied, scraped or reused commercially without written permission. You may of course share your own Coat Code result.

9. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else where the law does not allow it. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for losses arising from use of a product contrary to its instructions, or for business losses — these terms cover consumer sales only.

10. Trade customers

Wholesale and stockist sales are governed by the trade terms supplied with your price list, not by these terms. Trade enquiries are here.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
